Capital Digitronics Supports Statewide Radio Installations Across the New York Thruway

Capital Digitronics is proud to serve as a subcontractor to Eastern Communications on the New York State Thruway radio modernization effort. This large-scale project involves the deployment of new radio equipment across multiple Thruway divisions to support reliable, mission-critical communications statewide for transportation operations.

As of this phase of the project, more than 800 radios have been installed, with the full deployment expected to exceed 1,200 units. Installations are actively underway across the Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, and New York Divisions, with work progressing steadily toward completion.

The images below highlight radio equipment staged for installation and field work being completed across multiple Thruway locations. These deployments are being handled by Capital Digitronics technicians alongside trusted partner shops working on-site throughout the state.

Capital Digitronics is working in coordination with several partner shops to support installation efforts across each division. This collaborative approach allows the project to move efficiently while maintaining consistent installation standards statewide.
